The only old Ed song that I really know and listen to is "I’m Glad I’m Not You" from Want Some.
I often find myself singing this out of the blue. I’m not sure how I discovered it but the version I know by heart is this (bless Murray), hearing the album version is a little bit weird for me.
This song expresses a person’s first heartbreak. You already fell deeply in love with someone and yet she/he cannot reciprocate these feelings. This person lead you to believing that she/he feels the same as you and although there are already warning signs that they are not what it seems you still fell for it. After all is said and done you move on and became thankful that you fell in love and felt somewhat sorry for him/her because of his/her inability to love.
